Paris has always been known for art, fashion, and music. La Fête de la Musique (festival of music) is a lively street music festival held every June 21st in Paris and is one of the year's most popular events, in the city of lights.
Hundreds of musicians gather in the streets, bars, and cafes.  Giving free performances of everything!! From jazz and rock to hip-hop and electronic music.
Never are those attributes more generously displayed than in Paris' night life.  Inspiration flows  freely when enjoying the sounds and unique blend of  Pop-Dance- Electro- and new-age disco (funky house) that is being spun by Paris' resident D.J;  D.J Loë.  73723 1219682068084 1709903718 401766 4273078 n
Ms. Loë   is French, sexy, well traveled, and cutting edge! Arguably madame D.J is what NOW should look, feel, and SOUND like. A complete inclusion and total respect for our past icons. It is our musical heroes that she brings to life nightly, In the heart of Paris.

During a night with her you can hear it ALL, really!  Michael, Madonna, George Michael, Rhianna, Paula Ajala King, Underground house/electro, and the COOLEST dance tracks ever!!  At times you can even be privy to something that she has just infused together whilst enjoying her time behind the turn tables and partying with the rest of us!
She is talented like that- and that is why she has rapidly become the most popular and sought out Female d.j, in France!  Recently I caught up with D.J Loë during her time in New York and we spoke music. Here is some of what she shared:

Why did you become a D.J?

I became a D.J by chance. One day, while bar-tending. The d.j was (out) sick. I was asked to replace him for the night and loved it!! I loved seeing people having fun, dancing and laughing to the music- Music that I enjoyed as well. I really liked that.

It was then that I stopped working at the bar and became a d.j. The joy of making people feel good and forgetting about their problems for a slight moment is what drives me… I love to see them go crazy on the dance floor!!!!

 Is there a Paris 'Sound'?

Good question :) I don't really know. I guess I would say maybe electro?? Because a lot of electro musicians come from Paris but as for what I play- It would be more house or commercial (pop). That is the sound I bring -loe3

-  What does music mean to you?

Music is a need for me.  It makes me feel happy. One song can bring back memories like nothing else can. It's like Madonna said "music makes the people come together" this is how beautiful music is.  People that don't know each other are gonna connect (all) thanks to a song. Music can heal you, can calm you down, and put you in a trance. Now how powerful is that?!#

- What is the significance of Fête de la musique?

Fête de la musique is to celebrate music and make you discover new talents that otherwise would not have been given much exposure (if any). It's great for the artists. It's great for everybody who loves music! You can see and hear the joy of everyone walking down the streets… Really that's the beauty of it!!!

You can party with D.J Löe weekly in places such as Maxim's PARIS, Gibus (scream party), Who's, disco techs in Barcelona (Spain), and FREEDJ where she will be spinning for le fête de la musique.  < 35 rue ste croix de la bretonnerie - Paris 75004>
----

To get a taste of authentic Paris culture don't miss la fête! The mood is light and the opportunity to get to know the city's neighborhoods, bars and cafes like a local is rarely better than this convivial event, held each and every June 21st!

**D.J Loë is a ROCK star!! But it is the happiness and at times nostalgia that makes her an amazing D.J!!
