UZURI: Niva is a very unique name, is it the one you were born with?  What does it mean?

Niva:   Thanks.   No I was not born with it.   Niva was just a Nickname given to me by Family and Friends. 

UZURI:  Are you originally from NewYork?  Where did you grow up?

Niva:     No,  Houston Texas.

UZURI:  What inspired you to sing and get into the business of music and entertainment?

Niva:  I was born with music in my blood… and my grandfather saw my talent, encouraging me to pursue it.

UZURI:  I see that the majority of your songs have been about being positive and keeping faith.  What were some major issues or tests that have brought you to where you are now?

Niva: Abuse, Brutality, Homelessness, Poverty etc, these are some of the things that have made me who I am today.

UZURI: You have been a guest on NY’s Giovanni Centurione’s show “G Spot” and have hosted a list of shows on the east coast.  What is your connection to t.v show the “Real World” and what other t.v shows have you stared in?

Niva:   I auditioned for real world and have been in a few Independent films, currently working on a few t.v shows as of now. ( follow on www.youtube.com)

UZURI: What is the driving force behind what you do?  What keeps you going?

Niva: I have something to say and a need to succeed.

UZURI:  The GFG fashion label is a newer fashion label in which you have conducted their recent fashion show.  Are you also a designer as well as an entertainer?

Niva:   No…. but I’m a fashionista haha!
