Hilson, who topped Hip-Hop and R&B charts in the United States last year with her album In a Perfect World…, will appear on the pages of Avon’s Imari brochure starting August 2010 and in the Color brochure throughout the remainder of the year. Her first appearance on behalf of the company will be in late April.
For Hilson, becoming the newest spokeswoman for Avon’s Imari and Color brands is not just a chance to expand her success into a new sector; it is a chance to truly represent the empowering ideals at the core of both Avon Products, Inc. and her music.
“I’m so excited and honored to be Avon’s newest face,” says Hilson. “Avon has always been dedicated to empowering women through beauty. I’ve always strived to do the same with my music. To be a part of that experience means a tremendous amount to me.”
The global cosmetics and perfume company famous for its “Avon Ladies”—its door-to-door sales people—was attracted to Hilson by her “magnetic appeal, singular talent and classic beauty,” according Avon’s website. In short, Hilson represents the modern Avon woman.

As the newest addition to the list of Avon’s celebrity partners, Hilson is replacing Jennifer Hudson as the face of the Imari, Imari Seduction and Avon’s flagship Color brands to join personalities including Fergie, Courteney Cox, Patrick Dempsey, Zoe Saldana, Reese Witherspoon and Derek Jeter in representing Avon.
Hilson is currently working on her second studio album, set to be released late May 2010.
